Hermès is one of the most famous luxury brands in the world. The French family business is based in Paris and was founded by Thierry Hermès in the French capital. Due to the robust and luxurious materials, the company quickly gained a reputation throughout Europe. The logo on which a passenger steers the carriage himself ("Le Duc") was introduced in the 1950s. Later, perfume and watches were also to be added to the range.
The Hermés Kelly Bag got its name, which is so well-known today, from a transformation of a men's travel bag into a ladies' bag, designed by Robert Dumas and worn in 1956 by Princess Gracia Patricia of Monaco, better known as Grace Kelly.
